  • FREE continuing legal education (CLE) events that receive both general and ethics credits. If you attend just our seminars you will be at or near your 45 hrs needed each three years without paying for the CLE’s.
  • Access to the WCEA membership ListServ. Since 1999, the confidential ListServ has logged almost 150,000 emails exchanging opinions and information on expert depositions and legal briefs for example. And best of all, ListServ emails may be searched using key words or phrases. Advice from the attorneys in our group can be a powerful ally when confronted with a new or different problem.
  • Updates of significant Court, ICAP and ALJ decisions. Be the first to know!
  • Assistance with amicus filings. If you have an issue that will benefit all injured workers we will consider assisting you by filing an Amicus brief to help shore up your position.

In addition, your WCEA dues also fund our lobbying and legislative activities. Since 1984, WCEA has been committed to improving the Colorado workers’ compensation system by pursuing fair legislation and equitable administrative rules for workers injured on the job. We have been successful in obtaining cost-of-living adjustments to PPD caps and disfigurement, increases in disfigurement, restricted use of apportionment and much more.

Any attorney who devotes a substantial proportion of his or her practice to workers compensation cases and does not personally represent insurance carriers, self-insured carriers, the state insurance fund or other respondents on a regular basis is eligible for membership.
